| Applying
to the Transitional Year Residency
Cambridge Health
Alliance is strongly committed to Affirmative Action, and we particularly
welcome applications from U.S. trained minority medical students.
The Cambridge Health Alliance health care system serves a racially
and ethnically diverse population including Black, Hispanic, Portuguese/Brazilian,
and Haitian communities. Hospital administration and medical staff
are actively seeking to assure increased representation of these
communities at all levels of the hospital work force. Minority house
officers would be pleased to meet with students considering our
program, to discuss the quality of training as well as the day to
day life of minority physicians in our community. Application requirements
to our Transitional Year Residency Program include: 3 Letters of
Recommendation (one should be from your Medicine rotation preceptor);
A letter of recommendation from U.S. hospital where clerkship/subinternship
was done; dean's letter and transcript; USMLE passing score of 75
or above; At least one month of clinical experience in the United
States (research is not acceptable).
Cambridge Health
Alliance uses the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS)
for applications to the Transitional Internship Program. The ACGME
ID for their program is 9992400054. The application deadline is
December 15.
