About the Tournament

Patient CareCHA held its first golf tournament in 2004 to raise money for CHA Everett Hospital. Since that time the event has grown into the CHA Invitational, with proceeds now benefiting all three CHA Hospital campuses. Almost $1M has been raised to help fund important projects, including upgrades to our Maternity Suite, and renovation of the Emergency Department at Everett Hospital. This year, funds raised through the CHA Invitational will support CHA's new palliative care program, a very important part of our patient experience of care initiatives. Palliative care is a specialized form of medical care specifically designed for people with serious illnesses. Its main goal is to improve the patient's quality of life by providing relief from the symptoms, pain and stress that are inevitably a byproduct of both the disease and the medical intervention. We believe there is no patient population more vulnerable to "gaps" or lack in services than those with advanced, life-threatening illnesses and chronic conditions like certain types of cancer, severe heart failure or lung disease. As many of our committed caregivers know, these patients and their families have needs that often expand beyond the typical approaches to medicine and require us to provide care that is more holistic, spiritual and takes into account what is necessary at the end of life. For this reason we have developed an advanced illness and palliative care program at CHA and ask that you join us in supporting CHA in this endeavor.

This year's Invitational will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, at the beautiful Oakley Country Club in Watertown, MA. Registration begins at 11:30am, with a shotgun start at 12:30pm. We'll cap off a fabulous day of golf with dinner, auctions, and an awards ceremony.

There are many ways you can support the Invitational even if you don't play golf! Funds are raised through sponsorships, auction, raffles, and donations.
