Qualifications For The Practicum
Doctoral candidates in APA-approved clinical or counseling psychology
graduate programs, who are at least in their second year of graduate
school may apply for a practicum. Facility with verbal and written
expression, as well as an excellent academic record is essential.
At least one year prior clinical work in both therapy and assessment,
an interest in psychodynamically informed treatment, commitment
to work in the public sector, and experience with persons with severe
and persistent mental illness are strongly recommended. People from
diverse racial and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Please note clearly on your application the setting to which you
are applying. We do not accept hard copy or paper applications for
training.
Applications will start to be accepted on December 1, 2011.
The final deadline for all applications is January 3, 2012.
We begin to notify applicants we intend to interview in January
and early February, and interviews are typically held from late-January
through mid-February. We do not accept applicants we do not interview.
Applicants who interview with us meet with training directors and
core faculty. Current trainees may also be available to discuss
their training experiences.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the application process
by the second week of March.
