The Family Medicine Residency program is housed at our new 80,000 square foot Ambulatory building located at 195 Canal Street in Malden, just 2 miles from the Whidden campus.
Along with a large family care practice on the first floor, the facility will include space for group visits and seminars in the design. Like other Alliance sites, the new center has a state-of-the-art Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system linked system-wide. Starting from day one, residents will work on EMR system allowing them to assure that their patients achieve highest quality of medical care.

Tufts Medical Center is located in downtown Boston, adjacent to the city's Theater District and Chinatown. Tufts' state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, modern facilities for inpatient and outpatient services and dedicated medical professionals have helped establish the Medical Center as one of the country's leading medical institutions. Tufts family practice residents obtain high-risk obstetrics, tertiary-level intensive care unit, and urban emergency medicine at Tufts Medical Center, the primary teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine.
The Floating Hospital for Children is Tufts' full-service pediatric facility. The Medical Center's ability to care for both adults and children at a single institution is an advantage that enables integration and distinguishes Tufts from other academic medical institutions. First year Tufts family practice residents spend two months on a busy inpatient pediatrics ward and part of one month in the Nursery/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Floating. Our residents also benefit from one outpatient subspecialty pediatrics month obtained there in the second year.
