Additional InformationI am a primary care physician deeply committed to improving the health of underserved communities.
Since joining Cambridge Health Alliance, I have served in several capacities. As Medical Director at the CHA Revere Family Health Center, I helped create a community health center that has achieved NCQA Level 3 recognition and has been highlighted as a national “best practice” for patient-centered medical home transformation. I have also served as the President of the Cambridge Health Alliance Medical Staff. In my current role as Vice President of Patient Centered Medical Home Development, I am fortunate to be part of a team leading the patient-centered transformation of our entire health system.
I am also very involved in health system transformation in the academic context. As Co-Director for the Primary Care Innovation Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, I am proud to be engaging the next generation of primary care physicians to understand and be part of the health system of the future.
My experiences with the patient-centered medical home model throughout the country have allowed me to speak on this topic in many venues nationally. In addition, I have consulted with programs as diverse as the Arizona Telemedicine Program, the Guyana Youth Can Move the World program, and India’s School of Tropical Medicine to develop strategies to empower communities in need. In my free time, I volunteer as the Founder and Director of the Raising Peacemakers program and I have served as the Director of the Children’s Theatre Company, Boston, both of which help to empower children to make a difference in the world.
