I am a primary care provider at the CHA Windsor Street Health Center and Associate Director of Newborn Services for Cambridge Health Alliance.

I chose Pediatrics as specialty because I knew early on that I love working with children and families. I didn’t apply to medical school to become a doctor. I went to medical school to become a pediatrician.

Caring for individual children and working with families is a privilege, and I feel extraordinarily fortunate to also be in a position to advocate on behalf of child health on the local, state and national levels, through my work with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

In 2011, I became president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the AAP and the most satisfying professional achievement of the past several years was an event that I initiated in this role. The "Summit on Early Childhood-Investing in Our Future" held in November, 2011, brought together more than 150 professionals from varied disciplines to begin to develop an agenda for early childhood services in the Commonwealth and to launch a coalition to advance that agenda.

My other professional work is serving as Faculty Co-Chair of the CHIPRA Pediatric Medical Home Learning Collaborative, which is part of the National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality.

My non-professional passions revolve around family, travel, hiking and other outdoors activities, and the environment.
